How paying with PIN works

To pay on PINMart you need the PIN app on your phone. It is how you put Kina into your PINMart wallet, and how you take it back out.

1Install the PIN app on your phone and set up your account. It is free.
2Open your PINMart account page, choose an amount, and PINMart shows you a QR code.
3Scan that code with the PIN app and pay it. The Kina moves into your PINMart wallet.
4Buy on PINMart with your PINMart wallet. The money is held — the seller is not paid yet.
5Meet the seller, check the item, then confirm. This queues finance to pay the seller for a new physical order.
6New physical orders have 15 days from payment for buyer confirmation. Without confirmation, the full amount returns to the buyer’s PINMart balance. Handover and reporting a problem do not extend this deadline.
7New digital orders: cancel before unlocking for a full refund. If you never unlock within 15 days of payment, the full amount returns to your PINMart balance. Unlocking starts 48 hours to inspect the file; accept early or report a problem before that period ends. Without a timely dispute, the purchase completes and queues seller payment.
8New digital orders keep their existing digital commission rules (5%, K0.50 minimum). Once the purchase completes, finance pays the seller’s saved PIN wallet after the recorded commission. An open dispute holds the payment for review. No additional settling hold or withdrawal request applies.
9Earlier physical and digital orders keep the terms recorded when they were created. The order page shows which timing applies.
10To take money out, withdraw from PINMart to your PIN app wallet, then cash out to your bank from the app.

What the PIN app is

The PIN app is a wallet on your phone. It holds Kina, and it cashes out to your Papua New Guinea bank account.

Everything you do for PINMart is in Kina. You send Kina from the app to your PINMart wallet, and you take Kina back out to the app and on to your bank.

That is the app. It is free to install. Follow the link on this page so you land on the right listing, rather than searching the store yourself.

What installing it involves

Installing is free. You set up an account in the app before you can pay.

You do not send money to a seller from the app. You send it to your own PINMart wallet, and it stays yours until you buy something.

Nobody should ever ask you for your password

PINMart will never ask you for your PIN app password, and never for a code sent to your phone. If someone asks you for either one, they are not from PINMart. Tell us at support@payitnow.com.pg.

Which phones it works on

Android — Available now. Install it from Google Play. This is the way to pay on PINMart today.

iPhone and iPad — Not available in Papua New Guinea. The app is not listed on the App Store for Papua New Guinea, so it cannot be installed there. To pay on PINMart you will need an Android phone for now. If that changes, this page will say so.

What it costs you

Buying costs you nothing. PINMart charges a buyer no fee, and charges nothing to top up your PINMart wallet.

New physical orders: 5% of the sale price, rounded half up to the toea, with no minimum or added fixed fee. The seller receives the remainder.

New digital orders keep their existing digital commission rules (5%, K0.50 minimum). Once the purchase completes, finance pays the seller’s saved PIN wallet after the recorded commission. An open dispute holds the payment for review. No additional settling hold or withdrawal request applies.

A single top-up must be between K1.00 and K20,000.00, and you must pay the exact amount shown on the QR code.
